Eight years and two months after quarterbacking Iowa in the Orange Bowl, Brad Banks made his Arena Football League debut.
Playing for the Iowa Barnstormers, Banks threw for two touchdowns and ran for another in the Barnstormers' 47-17 preseason win over the Milwaukee Mustangs in Moline, Ill.
Banks, 30, played for three teams in the Canadian Football League over six seasons. He was the Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2002 at Iowa, but wasn't drafted by an NFL team in 2003 and didn't earn an NFL roster spot.
The Barnstormers' 18-game regular-season begins March 19 in Pittsburgh.
