Barta: Iowa undecided on '10 football ticket prices

Iowa athletics director Gary Barta said Wednesday the UI hasn't set ticket prices for the 2010 football season.
It might be another two or three months until the school decides on next year's prices.
In '09, Iowa held the line on season ticket prices, in response to the difficult times in the economy.
Last year, public season tickets cost $339, while UI student tickets cost $154. UI faculty and staff tickets cost $275.
Single-game tickets went up slightly in '09, though. Iowa's homecoming game against Michigan was the "premium game," with single-game tickets costing $70. Iowa's non-conference game against Arizona also was considered a premium game at $65 a single-game ticket. For Iowa's other five home games, prices were raised $2 to $52.
"We held the line this year, mostly in response to the economy," Barta said. "We put together a multi-month payment play for our fans."
That plan allowed season-ticket buyers to pay for the tickets in three installments rather than one lump sum. The first installment was due upon receipt with the others coming in May and June.
