Ball State wants out
This won't reverberate like the Missouri thingie, but Ball State wants out of its 2010 date in Iowa City.
This should be very interesting. If Iowa is forced to find a replacement, it's going to cost more than $1 million. This season, Iowa had to pay Arkansas State $900,000 for is Oct. 3 game at Kinnick Stadium. This is late in college football scheduling, as in drop dead late.
Iowa would be forced to find a team with an open date next Sept. 25 and one that would be willing to travel to Iowa City.
Here's the
link from the StarPress of Muncie, Ind. The two schools were on the books for a game in 2014. The last time the two teams played was a 56-0 Iowa victory in 2005.
