"He's a winner," Cyclone offensive coordinator Tom Herman said early this season after Jantz led his team to one of three consecutive fourth-quarter comebacks.
ISU now sits at 3-3 after blowout losses to Texas, Baylor and Missouri.
And this week, unless ISU coach Paul Rhoads is running interference, Jantz, a junior college transfer, is once again battling for the top job behind center with redshirt freshman Jared Barnett.
Both of the QBs in question speak below. Note that Jantz is asked about his left foot injury, which Rhoads said is still an issue, but deflects attention from it. Barnett shrugs off talk of factionalism:
