Another Badger/Hawkeye but mostly all Badger now

Meet Bryce Gilbert.

He's a 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive tackle from Brookfield (Wis.) Central. He recently committed to play college football for the Wisconsin Badgers and coach Bret Bielema, the head Badger/Hawkeye but mostly all Badger now. Of course, you know Bielema played and coached at Iowa.

Gilbert was born in Iowa and is a Hawkeyes fan. Well, was a Hawkeyes fan.

Gilbert's recruiting picked up last season after he gained 40 pounds and grew two inches. Wisconsin, Northern Iowa, Eastern Illinois, Illinois State and Indiana called. Iowa never did.

“I was hoping they would (offer a scholarship), but they didn't show any interest at all,” Gilbert told the Capital Times. “You've got to play where you're wanted. Wisconsin's a good fit, plus Iowa didn't have an agriculture program and that's what I wanted to do.”

No, he hasn't burned his Hawkeyes gear. Not yet, anyway.
