The Iowa strength and conditioning program worked for Pat Angerer.
The former Hawkeye went from constantly injured, depth-chart filler to an NFL draft pick in his five years at Iowa. In an interview with WQAD, the ABC affliliate in the Quad Cities, Angerer defended Iowa strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle.
Angerer, a Bettendorf native, also wrote an opinion piece for the National Football Post (link here).
Angerer, a second-round pick in last April's NFL draft, made 10 starts with 72 tackles in his rookie season for the Indianapolis Colts.
