Andy Roddick is Zach Johnson's caddy today at the Masters Par 3 Contest

Zach Johnson and Andy Roddick had never met before today. But Roddick is Johnson's caddy in the Masters' Par 3 Contest at Augusta National this afternoon.
Johnson is managed by SFX World, which used to also manage Roddick. Roddick, the 2003 U.S. Open tennis champion, inquired if could request to caddy at the Par 3 for Johnson, the 2007 Masters champ. Johnson, without hesitation, said yes.
I'll have a column on this later in the day.
As for the important golf, which begins for Johnson Thursday at 11:20 a.m., Central time, when he begins first-round Masters play:
"The golf is good," Johnson said. "I feel like it's coming. My outlook this week is to have fun. I feel good about things. I've worked hard, gotten to the point where I am now, and I just feel content."
Johnson hasn't missed a cut in seven PGA Tour events this year, but hasn't finished above 20th. That isn't totally unusual for him. He has often played his best golf of the year in the late spring and summer. He won the Crowne Plaza Invitational in Texas late last May, and tied for third in last year's PGA Championship in August.
He called the year-to-date "OK. I struck it poorly early in the year and putted really well. The ball-striking started coming back the last two or three weeks, but I've started putting not as well as I'd like. Once they mesh I think I'll be good.
"I'm making cuts, which is not my goal. I'm just this close (he held two fingers less than an inch apart) to getting over the hump to start really scoring. I'm close."
