Always-quiet Ronnie Lester says a mouthful about the Los Angeles Lakers team that isn't renewing his contract

Ronnie Lester, my choice for the best University of Iowa basketball player ever, has had a good and long post-playing career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Lester worked for the Lakers for 24 years, the last 10 as assistant general manager.
In this Los Angeles Times story Friday, the normally quiet Lester sounded off about the Lakers getting rid of about 20 basketball employees.
"You think of the Lakers and you think they are a great organization," Lester said. "But if you work inside the organization, it's only a perception of being a great organization. It's probably not a great organization, because great organizations don't treat their personnel like they've done."
Lester is planning on moving from Los Angeles as he tries to find another job.
"I'll land on my feet,"
Lester told ESPN Los Angeles a few weeks ago, but those guys who aren't as established, I think they're in a little trouble."
