Mike Hlas Mar. 22, 2010 4:46 pm
I Googled "Ali Farokhmanesh" Monday afternoon and got 218,000 entries. It keeps going up.
The Northern Iowa sharp-shooter is becoming the longest household name in U.S. sports.
Farokhmanesh was on Dan Patrick's radio show Monday morning, a day after appearing on CBS in a halftime interview alongside Panthers coach Ben Jacobson, and a few hours before coming on ESPN Radio's Scott Van Pelt Show.

"Yeah, I've got to go to class today," Farokhmanesh told the host.
"Last year (in class) a couple of times, people asked me I was going to the game. They didn't know I was on the team."
He said his teammates call him "Stroke" and "Muhammad." Muhammad Ali, you know.
When Patrick asked him if he'd be afraid to take that clutch shot again Friday night against Michigan State if he's in that position, Farokhmanesh replied "Definitely not."
This video, of Farokhmanesh and teammate Adam Koch reading to kids at Price Lab Elementary School in Cedar Falls last October, had about a thousand views this weekend.
Lostlettermen.com ranks Farokhmanesh fifth on the NCAA tourney's all-time beloved Cinderellas. For the top 10, click here.
