Adam Robinson: Two fine seasons and ... gone?

So, Iowa running back Adam Robinson got popped for possession of marijuana Monday night in Des Moines, after being withheld from team activities leading up to the Insight Bowl for “failing to comply with team expectations and policies.”

I guess I never believed he actually was going to come back to the team. I have nothing concrete on which to base that. Maybe I thought Iowa didn't want the bad publicity of getting rid of three players in one swoop a couple weeks ago instead of just Derrell Johnson-Koulianos.

At any rate, next man in. This season of so much hype is toxic. We'll see if tonight's Insight Bowl performance against Missouri does anything to clear the air and cleanse the palate. Me, I'm going outside while the sun's still shining here.
