Hannah Stuelke has been in the spotlight for Iowa women’s basketball as she gives the Hawkeyes “what we haven’t had.”

Cedar Rapids Washington will bump from Class 4A to 5A in the new two-year cycle. Williamsburg will go from 2A to 3A.

Cedar Rapids Washington senior wing Traijan Sain has the look of a college basketball player, the game of a college basketball player. But for whatever reason, recruiting has been slow for him. He has put that aside right now in order to help his team in the postseason, which begins Monday.

Landen Akers is only months removed from being one of the final cuts of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams. Cedar Rapids Prairie’s Dylan Munson parlayed his offseason effort into a no-doubt performance at the Class 3A district tournament Saturday at Jefferson. He was one of two Prairie champions, pinning his way through the 106-pound bracket and advancing to the state wrestling tournament.
