Candidates running for to serve as Iowa’s taxpayer watchdog both worked in state government and say they have demonstrated their ability to hold government agencies accountable for waste, fraud and abuse.
In the June primaries Steven Bradley beat out Lee Hein for the District 66 Republican candidacy. Now, in the final election, Bradley is facing Democrat Tony Amsler.
Republican Cindy Golding faces Democrat Kris Nall in rural Linn County.
Democratic incumbent Rep. Amy Nielsen is seeking her fourth term. She is running against Republican Wayne Grell and Libertarian Jacob Wenck. House District 85 includes Solon, North Liberty and parts of northeastern Johnson County.
Incumbent Democrat Ben Rogers faces Republican challenger Brett Mason.

Republican Heather Hora of Washington is running against Democrat Eileen Beran of Kalona for the two-year term to represent House District 92, which covers all of Washington County and parts of Johnson County.
District 84 includes several townships in northwestern and southwestern Linn County and most of Benton County, including Vinton
Political forecasters have rated the race as competitive, and each candidate has attracted support from their national party.
Bohannan is running to unseat Republican Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks in what many election forecasters are predicting to be a competitive race in the newly drawn 1st Congressional District.
