Whitaker to lead Jamison campaign for treasurer

Dave Jamison, a candidate for the Republican nomination for treasurer, announced former U.S. Attorney Matt Whitaker as his statewide campaign chairman.
Whitaker is a native of Ankeny and served as Iowa's U.S. Attorney for the Southern District.
Whitaker said Jamison “has a proven 16 year track record as Story County Treasurer. As a conservative he approached his job as chief finance officer with a keen awareness that public office is a public trust – a belief that public servants have an inherent obligation to continuously strive for improved performance and services.”
