Roberts accepts debate invitation

Mar. 12, 2010 10:05 am
Gubernatorial candidate Rep. Rod Roberts of Carroll has accepted an invitation from Scott County Republicans to participate in a debate with his Republican primary opponents.
The invitation to all of the Republican candidates was received from Scott County Republican Chairwoman Judy Davidson.
Roberts also challenged his opponents, Terry Branstad and Bob Vander Plaats, to accept the debate proposal.
“Scott County voters will play a key role in the upcoming election,” said Roberts. “I am looking forward to sharing my common sense ideas about job creation and radically reforming our government to serve the people again.”
Roberts said his campaign will work with Davidson and the Branstad and Vander Plaats campaigns to find a mutually agreeable time and location.
