The Gazette
Dec. 8, 2014 9:46 am
Former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has joined the lineup of speakers at U.S. Rep. Steve King's January Freedom Summit.
Her addition to the program was announced by Citizens United, which is sponsoring the Jan. 24 gathering of conservatives in Des Moines.
King and Citizens United are billing the forum at Hoyt Sherman Place as a 'launching point for conservative ideas” heading into the 2016 Iowa first-in-the-nation precinct caucuses.
The summit also will feature remarks from Dr. Ben Carson; former Speaker Newt Gingrich; Sens. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz; former Gov. Mike Huckabee; former Sen. Rick Santorum; Rep. Marsha Blackburn; Ambassador John Bolton; and Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.
