Candidates for city and school board elections would appear on the ballot with party labels under a bill Iowa Republican lawmakers advanced out of a subcommittee on Tuesday.
Board member Catherine McCrory prefaced her vote with a statement: “I want it to be clear that this Republican believes that there was an insurrection on Jan. 6. There’s no doubt in my mind that he manipulated, instigated, aided and abetted an insurrection on Jan. 6.”

The Associated Press, Fox News, CNN, CBS News and NBC News all called the caucuses for Trump at around 7:30 p.m. Monday night, just a half-hour after the caucuses were scheduled to start.
