Lone Tree City Council member Nicholas Gluba plans to run for Congress as a Libertarian in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, he announced.
The goal is to have a Democrat facing off against a Republican in almost every election in the state, Democrats said during a fundraising dinner Saturday in Davenport. While the primary has passed, parties can still nominate candidates by convention.
