(AP) - Republicans in Iowa's 2nd Congressional District have nominated Mariannette Miller-Meeks to face Democratic incumbent Dave Loebsack.
Miller-Meeks won a four-way race, finishing far ahead of businessmen Steve Rathje, Rob Gettemy and Christopher Reed.
It was the second time ophthalmologist Miller-Meeks had sought the 2nd District seat. She lost to Loebsack in 2008.
Reed and Rathje both sought the nomination for U.S. Senate that year. Reed won that race but lost to Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin.
This was Gettemy's first run for office.
