Krause first Democrat to file for U.S. Senate

Mar. 17, 2010 9:27 am
Bob Krause of Fairfield became the first Democrat to file for the party's nomination to face incumbent Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley.
“This is a continuing measure of my campaign that demonstrates we have the most enthusiastic supporters,” Krause said. “Our issues-oriented campaign is attracting people who want real change for a better and stronger America in terms of jobs and trade policy, improved siting regulations for concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO), withdrawal from Afghanistan and other progressive issues.
“I encourage all Iowans to compare the campaigns to evaluate which one has the greater depth and breadth of issues affecting the citizens of our state,” Krause said.
