Krause backs Obama on China trade, espionage

Feb. 5, 2010 11:36 am
Bob Krause, candidate for the Democratic U. S. Senate nomination, is applauding President Barack Obama's tougher stance on Chinese trade and espionage.
Krause cited both the massive Chinese hacker assault in recent days on the state of Iowa and on Google's security system. Citing the two events as proof of an incipient crisis, Krause then called on Obama and Congress to immediately revise international trade and defense policies with China.
“On the campaign trail, I have been making trade with China an issue because of national defense problems as well as the outsourcing of American jobs,” he said. “Since last May, I have been concerned about outsourcing -- especially to China -- because it is undermining our national defense while destroying American jobs.”
