Iowa Republicans to have county conventions Saturday

Republican Party of Iowa county conventions will be March 6 around the state.
Delegates will draft a county platform -- a statement of their political beliefs -- and elect people to attend the party's district and state conventions.
Non-delegates are welcome to observe the conventions.
In Eastern Iowa, the convention schedules are:
- Allamakee – 8:30 a.m., East Elementary Gym, Waukon
- Benton – 1:15 p.m., Tilford Elementary, Benton
- Buchanan – 6 p.m., Middle School, Independence
- Cedar – 6:30 p.m., Courthouse, Tipton
- Clayton – 10 a.m., Community Center, Farmersburg
- Delaware – 9 a.m. Courthouse, Manchester
- Fayette – 11 a.m., North Fayette High School, West Union
- Iowa – 1 p.m., Courthouse, Marengo
- Johnson – 9 a.m., Clear Creek-Amana High School, Tiffin
- Jones – 10 a.m., Masonic Hall, Anamosa
- Keokuk – 7 p.m., Courthouse, Sigourney
- Linn – 8:30 a.m., Collins Marriott, Cedar Rapids
- Tama – 1 p.m., Wieting Theater, Toledo
- Washington – 8 a.m., Courthouse, Washington
- Winneshiek – Noon, Oak Steak House, Decorah
