GOP chairman to visit area county conventions Saturday

Iowa Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Matt Strawn will meet with party members at several county conventions March 6.
Delegates will draft a county platform -- a statement of their political beliefs -- and elect people to attend the party's district and state conventions.
Strawn's schedule includes stops at:
12:20 p.m., Tama County, Wieting Theater, 101 South Church St., Toledo; 1:15 p.m. , Tilford Elementary School, 308 E 13th St., Vinton; 2:05 p.m., Iowa County Courthouse, 901 Court Ave., Marengo; and 6:30 p.m., Cedar County Courthouse, 400 Cedar St., Tipton.
