May. 24, 2016 12:39 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - Former ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton has endorsed Sen. Chuck Grassley, who he said has earned the title of 'hardest working senator.”
Grassley, a Republican, is seeking his seventh term in the U.S. Senate. Grassley's work ethic is evident 'especially on matters of national security,” Bolton said in the announcement Tuesday. His John Bolton PAC contributed $10,000 to Grassley's re-election fund.
'Grassley has an impressive track record that proves he is committed to securing America's safety at home through a strong national defense and enhanced intelligence capabilities,” Bolton said.
Grassley welcomed the endorsement, saying, 'Bolton is a well-respected voice on issues of national security, foreign policy and for America maintaining a position of leadership in the world.”
So far in the 2016 election cycle, the John Bolton PAC has contributed $317,000 and endorsed 41 candidates for Congress. The PAC was formed to support candidates committed to restoring strong American economic and national security policies.
