ELECTION DAY 2013: Here's what you need to know

Polls open at 7 a.m. today, as area voters head to the polls for municipal elections and local referendums around the state. The voting sites will remain open until 8 p.m.
Major races in Eastern Iowa include mayoral and/or city council races in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Iowa City and Coralville; a referendum to repeal the 21-only bar ordinance in Iowa City; and a measure to extend a local-option sales tax in portions of Linn County for road improvements and other needs.
- If you need to know where to vote today, you'll need to contact your local county auditor's office. You'll find a list of links to all county auditors at the Iowa Secretary of State's Web site.
