Jun. 23, 2016 7:29 pm
CEDAR RAPIDS - U.S. Rep. Rod Blum has been endorsed by the Club for Growth, a pro-growth, limited government advocacy group.
Blum, a Dubuque businessman, is seeking a second term representing Iowa's 20-county 1st District, which includes Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Waterloo-Cedar Falls and Marshalltown. He is being challenged by Democrat Monica Vernon of Cedar Rapids.
'The Club is such a strong advocate for economic growth in our country, and it's humbling that they've recognized my hard work in Congress to reignite our economy and help put America back on track to being the best place in the world to do business,” Blum said. He is seeking re-election to continue work on 'restarting our economic growth engine while increasing prosperity for families in Eastern Iowa.”
He Club for Growth is a network of more than 100,000 people who believe prosperity and opportunity come from economic freedom.
