Appointments

The board of directors of Diversity Focus Inc. announced the appointment of Chad Simmons as the interim executive director. Simmons brings a wide range of experience to his new position, with a special focus on community and organizational development.

Community Bankers of Iowa selected local banker Dale Torpey as president at their annual convention. Torpey is the chairman of Federation Bank in Washington, Iowa. He has been on the CBI board of directors since 2004, served as treasurer in 2009-10 and will be president until the annual meeting in 2012.

Pediatric Center announced the recent addition of pediatrician Dr. Susan Halverson. She will practice primarily at the 1231 Park Place location of Pediatric Center.

Jennifer Croy joined TrueNorth as director of operations for employee benefits (group and individual). Croy's background experience includes benefit administration, human resource and operational management.

The Salvation Army Advisory Board appointed several new members to the board: Justin Mager, Veridian Credit Union; Kyle Wilcox , Simmons, Perrine, Moyer, Bergman, PLC; and Scott Drzycimski, Alliant Energy.

Promotions

Kevin Bumgarner of Fairfax, was promoted to City Carton Recycling's recovered fiber manager. Bumgarner began his career at City Carton Recycling in 2007 as assistant facility manager at the Cedar Rapids facility and most recently was recycling facilities manager position.

CRST International announced the appointment of Cameron Holzer as president of CRST Expedited Inc. Prior to his appointment, Holzer held various roles at CRST, most recently vice president of operations.
