Appointments

Kristen Shaffer (see photo) joined Kids First Law Center as staff attorney. Shaffer received her J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

David Bellendier (see photo), a member of the Knights of Columbus Supreme board of directors, was appointed to the board of directors of the John Paul II Stem Cell Research Institute in Iowa City.

Shuttleworth & Ingersoll announced the addition of Drew Cumings-Peterson (see photo) as associate attorney. Cumings-Peterson plans to have a general practice including but not limited to litigation matters.

Eric Smith (see photo) of Wapello joined City Carton Recycling as recycling facilities manager of the Mount Pleasant, Muscatine and Creston City facilities.

Awards

The Credit Union Executives Society announced Robert Hoefer, president and CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union in Dubuque, as the 2011 CUES Outstanding Executive, an award presented for excellence in leadership. Dupaco has offices in the Corridor.
