Appointments
West Plains Engineering in Cedar Rapids announced that Robert Thompson, a founder of the corporation, was named president. Mark Grebner and Marten Christensen have been named vice presidents of the board, and Douglas Feterl was named secretary-treasurer.
Diane Ocasio (see photo) joined Tallgrass Business Resources as a design team director. Ocasio brings more than
30 years of industry experience.
Theatre Cedar Rapids announced several new board members: Bradd Brown, president; Lydia Brown, vice president; Kristen Olejniczak, secretary; and Toby Lawrence, treasurer. Also named to the board were Randy Rings, Lisha Coffey and Dick Meisterling. Named to the board of trustees were Marc Gullickson, president; Pat Deignan, vice president and treasurer; and Rick Fry, secretary.
Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids announced Dee Eadie (see photo) joined its leadership team as executive director of the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center. Since 2007, Eadie served as the cancer center administrator of the University of Virginia Health System and as a clinical instructor in the UVA School of Nursing.
Promotions
On Jan. 1, Major Peter Wilson (see photo) was appointed jail administrator with the Linn County Jail. Wilson formerly served as assistant jail administrator.
Elections
Steve Barak (see photo), director of the Boyson Road Hy-Vee Drugstore in Cedar Rapids, was elected to a one-year term on the board of directors of Hy-Vee Inc.
