Laura Bergus (see photo) has joined the law firm of Hayek, Brown, Moreland & Smith as associate. Her areas of general practice include civil litigation, family law and criminal defense.
J&P Cycles in Anamosa announced three new employees. Ryan Murphy (see photo) joined the company as vice president of operations. Wayne Maiers (see photo) started as director of distribution. Rhyde Thomas (see photo) joined as director of merchandising and purchasing.
The Cedar Rapids City Market board of directors announced the appointment of Julie Palmer to the position of NewBo City Market executive director. Palmer previously director of the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Promotions
Macy Koch (see photo) was promoted to marketing director at Syncbak in Marion. Koch was previously e-marketing strategist. Tracy Read (see photo) moved up to office manager. Read had been office administrator.
