U. S. Bank named Leighton Smith  vice president for financial planning with U.S. Bank's Private Client Group in Cedar Rapids. Smith comes most recently from Hills Bank & Trust Co.

MidWestOne Bank named Jayne Sandler vice president and mortgage sales manager. Sandler had been with Wells Fargo.

St. Luke's Health Care Foundation in Cedar Rapids named Mary Klinger director of major/planned gifts. Klinger previously worked at the United Way of East Central Iowa.

Goodwill of the Heartland named Jason Toms vice president of retail operations. Toms was general manager of Old Navy at Coral Ridge Mall.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids and East Central Iowa named new members to its board of directors: James Erickson, US Bank; Lisa Carson, Transamerica; and Matt Doty, GreatAmerica Leasing.

ME&V hired Jamie Alden  joined as art director. Alden had been an art director and senior art director at two Cedar Falls ad agencies.

Clifton Gunderson hired Chad Brandmeyer as senior manager in the tax department in its Cedar Rapids office. Brandmeyer has 11 years experience.
