Washington embarks on Comprehensive Plan update with RDG

The City of Washington hosted the first Steering Committee meeting last week for its Compreh ensive Plan update, with RDG planners Gary Lozano and Lorin Ditzler.
The planning process will take place over the next 8-9 months. The 20+ member Steering Committee will meet monthly, but there will be numerous community outreach, charettes, and input opportunities through the planning process.
Mayor Sandy Johnson, and Planning and Zoning Chairperson, Deran DeLong of DeLong Construction are co-hosts of the Steering Committee.

RDG's Gary Lozano has recently assisted the City of Kalona and Washington County with Comprehensive Planning services.
