Waggle to open golf apparel store in Coralville

CORALVILLE — Waggle, a golf apparel and accessories store, will be opening a new location in the Iowa River Landing this fall in Coralville.

The store will be next to Cookies and Dreams and across from 30hop.

Waggle was founded in 2018 with the stated goal of resisting golf’s “old- fashioned country club tradition.”

“Every design that we put out there is really inspired by that desire to create a piece of apparel or even an accessory that really strikes a chord with you when you see it,” said Lindsay Koch, Waggle events and field marketing manager.

Waggle gets the keys to the storefront n in late August but has not set a date for opening, Koch said.

The company sells polos, hats, outerwear and accessories in bold prints. Some of the collection features farm animal- and hunting-inspired designs.

“Even though our core offerings lean toward golf, our apparel could really be worn anywhere by anyone,” Koch said.

The Coralville store will be the company’s third brick-and-mortar location, following stores in the greater Dallas and Minneapolis areas.

Koch said the “humbling” amount of attention the brand has received nationally made it difficult to decide on a location for its next store.

Iowa River Landing, south of Interstate 80 and east of First Avenue, is continuing to grow its retail presence.

Kendra Scott, a fashion and lifestyle brand known for its jewelry, is to open later this year.

“We are very thrilled about the addition of Waggle Golf to the Iowa River Landing,” said property manager Deanna Printy. “It could not come at a better time and will be a perfect fit with our variety of shops.”
