Vikram Israni named CEO of GreenState Credit Union
He succeeds Jeff Disterhoft, who retired

NORTH LIBERTY — GreenState Credit Union has named Vikram Israni as its new chief executive officer.
Israni previously was chief financial officer at Wings Credit Union in Apple Valley, Minn., and was appointed after a national search by Spencer Stuart.
Israni succeeds Jeff Disterhoft, who retired.
"The board was resolute that we were looking for our next leader to have a strong financial background to help navigate these challenging economic times, but also someone with the charisma and character to lead our growing team,“ Fred Mims, chair of the GreenState Credit Union board of directors, said in a news release.
”Our board was impressed by Vic’s visionary leadership, strategic acumen and commitment to the credit union philosophy. We believe his experience will further strengthen GreenState’s position as a trusted financial partner for our members."
Israni has more than 25 years in the financial services industry and “is renowned for his deep understanding of financial dynamics and exceptional leadership abilities,” the company said in the news release.
He holds an M.B.A. from the American Graduate School of International Management-Thunderbird and a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in New York City.

GreenState Credit Union, organized in 1938, is Iowa’s largest credit union, It has more than 447,000 members with 32 office locations and assets of more than $11 billion. Membership is open to anyone living or working in Iowa as well as select counties in Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska and South Dakota.
