The UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Foundation Board of Directors has appointed a new foundation president.
Mary Klinger will succeed James M. Sealy as foundation president. Sealy, who served as St. Luke's Foundation president since September 2011, announced earlier this year his intent to retire this summer.
Klinger has been with St. Luke's Foundation since 2011. She most recently served as St. Luke's Foundation director of major gifts/ planned giving.
Prior to joining St. Luke's Foundation, Klinger held various positions with the United Way of East Central Iowa, most recently as vice president of resource development.
“Some of his major accomplishments include raising $2.5 million to create the Ed and Joan Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Luke's, which was completely funded by philanthropy," said Terri Christoffersen, UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Foundation board chair. "He has also been instrumental in creating a new state-of-the-art donor walls; the Wall of Honor and the Wall of Remembrance."
