GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp. hired Linzey Terrill (see photo) as operations support specialist.

The city of Marion hired Nicole Burlage (see photo) as an administrative assistant in the Planning and Development Department. She previously worked as a sales professional at Randy's Carpets & Interiors in Cedar Rapids.

Jeanne Allgood (see photo) is now with Cedar Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau as office manager.

City State Insurance Agency hired Sharon K. Anderson (see photo) as director of business insurance for the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area. She had been VP sales executive with Wells Fargo Insurance Services.

Alisha Parker (see photo) is now program developer with Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services.

TrueNorth hired Stephanie Russell (see photo) as specialist coordinator in the transportation division.

Steven McGinty (see photo) has joined Petersen Pet Hospital.

Mindy Kayser (see photo) was named vice president of marketing for Goodwill of the Heartland. Kayser was director of development and communications with the Cedar Rapids-Linn County Salvation Army.

Christine Erickson was hired as therapist for Lutheran Family Service of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.

Deanne Turner (see photo) joined TrueNorth as client liaison in the employee benefits division, and Jenny Hansen (see photo) started as account manager in the employee benefits division.

UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital has promoted Adam Weinkauf (see photo), previously staff pharmacist, to supervisor of inpatient pharmacy services; Robinn Bardell (see photo), previously case management manager, to case management and social services manager; and Connie Bulman (see photo), previously 5 East lead nurse, to part-time house supervisor in addition to her current position as Adaptive Design coach.

HONORS

Nicci Keck (see photo), AW Welt Ambrisco Insurance, was named 2013 Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year for the state. She will compete for the national award.

Geonetric, an online health care services provider, had nine of its clients receive awards for online excellence, with two clients taking home Best in Class honors - none in Iowa.

The Hawkeye Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development received a Chapter Excellence Award from the ASTD International Conference & Exposition.

Heritage Nursing and Rehab in Cedar Rapids was given the NAHCA Facility of the Year Award by the National Association of Health Care Assistants.

United Way of East Central Iowa presented the John B. Northcott Award, given to volunteers who have been of outstanding service, to Marc and Cathy Gullickson, the 2012 campaign chairs; the 2012 Community Philanthropist Award to Joe Schimberg, Schimberg Co.; and the Spirit Award to the United Fire Group and its employees.

SEMINARS

Mount Mercy University will hold information sessions for two of its graduate programs at 5:30 p.m., in Basile Hall, Flaherty Community Room - July 9 for its master of business administration degree, and July 10 for its master of arts in education.

The city of North Liberty and Alliant Energy's Hometown Rewards Program will hold a “Sustainability Workshop” 9 a.m. to noon, July 13, at the North Liberty Community Center, covering residential solar electric and geothermal systems, among other topics.
