Transamerica moving up to 90 jobs out of Baltimore

Up to 90 operations positions currently in Transamerica's Baltimore offices will be shifted to Cedar Rapids and three other locations, the company said.
The positions will be relocated from Baltimore to Transamerica facilities in Plano, Texas, Exton, Penn. and St. Petersburg, Fla., in addition to Cedar Rapids, Transamerica Director of Internal Communications Robin Nearman said Thursday.
The shift is "consistent with a focus on streamlining operations and leveraging capabilities in our other locations," Nearman said.
Transamerica announced the change to workers on Thursday. Nearman said the reorganization is expected to add positions in Cedar Rapids, but she did not know how many at this time.
