Six professionals and business executives from Coralville, Pensacola, Fla., Detroit, Mich., and Minnesota is flagging off a FREE nationwide no-frills initiative, Tip and Tip Cafe (TTC), at 9.30a.m., Oct. 29, at Panera Bread Iowa City, with its online extension, Cyber Tip and Treat Cafe (CTTC), happening all day on Cyber Monday, Nov. 28 on Twitter, to encourage and assist the unemployed as the nation's unemployment rate remains above 9% and many discouraged Americans have reportedly stopped looking for work.
“TTC is so easy even a do-nothing career politician can replicate it anywhere in America,” notes C. Paschal Eze, Coralville-based author, TTC initiator and coordinator, adding “For me, this is very personal because I have tasted the bitter and demeaning pill of unemployment. I know how it impacts the individual; the hurts, the deprivations and the indignity, and I do not wish it for anyone anywhere in America.”
All that an unemployed person needs to participate in a free TTC, starting with the maiden edition in Iowa City the weekend of October 28 is to RSVP at http://www.globalmarkmakers.com/contacts, email tipandtreat(@)globalmarkmakers.com or Skype PEZMEDIA. There will be free coffee and helpful tips, tools and techniques.
Taking part in CTTC on Cyber Monday is as simple as tweeting one's questions using hashtag #CTTCJobs.
Project experts who will be answering questions live and encouraging people include Dr. Brenda Lewis, educational administrator and adjunct professor from Minnesota, Maria Pinochet, Kore Access, Inc. president and sought-after start-up advisor and marketing consultant from Florida whose paternal and maternal grandparents were both presidents of Chile, and Tony Mottley, two-time Emmy Awards winner, and CEO Duet Digital Media, Inc. Detroit Michigan that provides top quality multimedia solutions. Others are Simos D. Farrell, CARW, result-rendering nationally certified resume writer and career coach, and CEO Career Excellence Advisors who was affected by the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme, Florida, David Chapman King, Florida-based global entrepreneur, marketing strategist and inspirational speaker who has lived and worked in countries in Africa, Latin America and Europe, and C. Paschal Eze, Iowa-based multi-author, rebranding strategist and tourism consultant.
In today's highly competitive knowledge and network-driven marketplace, getting a desired job or starting a viable micro, small or medium enterprise (MSME) requires critical skill sets and in many cases professional coaching, mentoring and good old neighborliness, being one's brother's and sister's keeper.
“Job seekers need to be confident in communicating their talent and approach their job search with a value-driven mindset,” advises Maria Pinochet, while Tony Mottley reminds target participants that "the hope for government safety net is fading, so we have to lean on each other and share strategies to save money, make money and create peace of mind."
For her part, Dr. Brenda Lewis explains that "The key to landing a rewarding and fulfilling job is to make oneself marketable by expanding one's skill set. Now is the time for self-reinvention by taking part in training programs and possibly adding an additional degree or certification."
