CEDAR RAPIDS — Early childhood teachers can apply to be part of training in the NewBoCo Tiny Techies program.
Those accepted will be training in teaching technology to youngsters and receive more than $700 in materials to use in their classrooms at no cost.
The training — which comes with a stipend and professional credit — is made possible because the Tiny Techies program was selected for a Scale-Up grant in the 2023-24 school year by the Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council.
Educators can apply for the training at https://iowastem.org/Scale-Up -Application. The deadline for applications is Feb. 28. More information is available at the NewBoCo/education website.
The Tiny Techies program is designed to offer young students opportunities to develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
