The number of passengers through The Eastern Iowa Airport in May helped the airport set its fifth consecutive record breaking month.
A total of 153,589 passengers flew through CID in May 2025, an increase of 19 percent when compared to the same month one year earlier.
Year-to-date passenger numbers are 10 percent higher than the same time period in 2024.
“Our numbers are very strong,” says Marty Lenss, CID director. “Thank you, Eastern Iowa, for flying CID and if things stay on pace for the remainder of the calendar year, we are on track to have our third consecutive record-breaking annual passenger count.”
In 2023, the total number of passengers choosing CID was 1.4 million, and in 2024 the number increased to 1.5 million.
“Numbers like these demonstrate to the airlines that travelers in Eastern Iowa are choosing CID,” Lenss says. “When people spend their travel dollars with airlines at CID, it reinforces to our airline partners that their investment in this market — and the potential for future growth — is a wise decision.”
CID has nonstop service to 18 destinations on five airlines.
