With up to three feet of snow expected to hit areas of the Northeast, flights around the nation are seeing the effects.
The winter storm warnings are causing airlines to delay and cancel incoming and outgoing flights in the Northeast region. Many of these flights link to major airports like Chicago's O'Hare, which serves as a central hub for Iowa's regional airports.
The trickle-down effect is already impacting local airports. One flight at Waterloo Regional Airport arrived late this morning after experiencing delays at O'Hare. Dubuque Regional Airport said they haven't experienced any problems yet, but could see delays over the next couple days.
