Storm Guard coming to Iowa, seeking franchise owners

Storm Guard, a national roofing and construction company, has announced it is expanding into Iowa.

The company has 39 franchise locations in 17 states and is looking to add 100 franchise locations in the next five years, with Davenport, Des Moines, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids among the locations it is eyeing in Iowa.

The brand’s initial franchise fee is $65,000, and the total investment ranges from $185,400 to $221,600, according to the news release.

Storm Guard, founded in 2003 in Minnesota, repairs homes after storms and provides such services as emergency tarping and painting and replacement of roofing, siding, windows and gutters, while working with home insurance companies.

Iowa has “some of the most unpredictable and severe weather patterns in the U.S., including extreme storms and tornadoes,” the company said in a news release.

“Iowa residents deserve to have their homes restored by honest and reputable contractors who put integrity first,” company president Shane Lynch said in a statement.
