Rockwell Collins $162 million air traffic management contract for KC-10 tanker

Rockwell Collins has been awarded a $162 million defense contract for KC-10 communication navigation surveillance air traffic management systems.
The new systems will enable the tanker and freight aircraft to comply with the 2015 Federal Aviation Administration and International Civil Aviation Organization standards for CNS/ATM (communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management) standards.
The initial $55.2 million firm fixed-price contract was announced by the United States Department of Defense on Friday, July 1. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base is the contracting authority. ARINC will be the primary installer.
