When Jeff Hoffman visits the Englert Theatre Tuesday as a guest speaker in the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center's John R. Hughes Lecture Series, the co-founder of Priceline.com will bring a wealth of experience.
Hoffman is a successful serial entrepreneur, motivational speaker, published author, Hollywood film producer and producer of a Grammy-winning jazz album in 2015. He has founded multiple startup companies, led public and private companies as CEO, and served as a senior executive in many capacities.
Hoffman enjoys spending time with entrepreneurs at the college level. He has judged business plan competitions at MIT, the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, Pepperdine University and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Hoffman also has served as a mentor in Stanford University's Venture Lab, an entrepreneur-in-residence at Georgia Tech and Rollins College.
Admission is free to Hoffman's presentation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 13.
The John R. Hughes Lecture Series is part of ENTREdays, a three-day event where entrepreneurs can explore the field to find inspiration and opportunities for their ideas.
ENTREdays also hosts IdeaStorm from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12 in Room S401 of the UI Pappajohn Business Building and 1 Million Cups from 9 to 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at FilmScene, 18 E. College St. in Iowa City.
