Cedar Rapids restaurateur Tony Kassouf has a new restaurant space, a new concept - and now all he needs is the right name.
Kassouf, who owns American Skillet and Cibo Fusion in the Cedar Rapids area, is seeking nominations to name the restaurant from Cibo Fusion facebook fans.
Kssouf purchased the prime restaurant property that first served as Jiamen restaurant, and more recently Wok 'n' Roll, last month from owner Duane Schmidt of Vinton. He plans to open the as-yet unnamed restaurant on New Year's Eve, and has decided to ask Cibo Fusion Facebook fans to nominate names.
While the new restaurant will be a fusion of cuisines, it will be a different fusion than Cibo Fusion.
"Pan-American with Asian flair," is how Kassouf describes it. He said the menu, still under development, will feature a sizable section of tappas (small dish) items for culinary explorers.
