The Meth-Wick Community hired Amber Jedlicka (see photo) as home and health services operation director.
MMS Consultants hired Nathan Byers (see photo) as engineering technician and Walter Hurlbutt (see photo) as a land surveyor intern.
Vince Ellison (see photo) is now with Bergan Paulsen as chief operating officer.
Kyle Galloway (see photo) is with McGladrey LLP as an assurance manager in its Iowa City office.
PROMOTIONS and PARTNERSHIPS
Destinations Unlimited/Travel Leaders promoted Lisa Gilliatt (see photo) from vice president-group and leisure travel to president.
McGladrey LLP named Marty Tunning (see photo) to managing partner and Joe McCarragher (see photo) as development director. Both are in the Iowa City office. McGladrey also named Steve Schoenauer (see photo) as Eastern Iowa Market managing partner, in the Cedar Rapids office.

The University of Iowa Children's Hospital ranked in the top 50 U.S. hospitals in seven specialties in U.S. News & World Report's 2013-2014 Best Children's Hospitals rankings. The specialties were cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pulmonology.
United Way of East Central Iowa received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for the sixth consecutive year.
