New development to bring hotels, restaurants near Coral Ridge

Work will begin this fall on a 103-room Residence Inn by Marriott that will lead a pack of new restaurants and hotels coming to a new 16-acre development just west of Coral Ridge Mall.
Plans for the Coral Galleria development include at least two hotels, several restaurants, and an undecided number of retail stores, according to Darryl High of Cedar Rapids, managing partner of the project partnership. The project site is bounded by Second Street, James Street, Coral Ridge Avenue and 25th Avenue.
