Members of the community can now take an online survey to help define the vision for the Cedar Rapids Medical Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District.
The 55-square block district runs from Fifth and Sixth Streets SE to 12th and 13th Streets SE in Cedar Rapids.
Those interested in taking the survey can do so by visiting www.crmedquarter.com and clicking on the top right corner of the page where it says "Opinion Survey." The survey will be available until June 24.
The survey is the next step in the district's master planning process, according to a news release. The Lakota Group, a Chicago-based land-use and urban planning consultancy that is helping with development of the master plan, will compile a "State of the District" report.
The report will include a written analysis of the district's current land use and future development opportunities.
Later this summer, the SSMID Commission and the Lakota Group will hold a second public workshop to review a preliminary district vision and collect input regarding land use strategies and development and character concepts.
