McDonald's grand opening set for Thursday in North Liberty

A new McDonald's restaurant will open at 5 a.m. Thursday at 675 Pacha Parkway in North Liberty.
The restaurant, North Liberty's first McDonald's, will feature a contemporary design, double drive-through windows, free Wi-Fi Internet service, and large high definition televisions throughout the dining area.
It is the ninth McDonald's restaurant opened by Kevin O'Brien of Creative Management, who opened his first McDonald's in Williamsburg in 1986. O'Brien announced donations of $2,000 to the North Liberty Library and $500 to the North Liberty Fire Department.
Hours will be from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 5 a.m. to Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
