Marion Builder's and Developer's Forum planned Nov. 2

The annual Marion Builder's and Developer's Forum will be held from 7:30-8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Lowe Park Center in Marion.

The forum is sponsored by the Marion Economic Development Company (MEDCO) and the City of Marion to exchange ideas and information on development issues in Marion.

City staff and utility representatives will provide updates relating to their departments. Real estate attorney Nick Abou-Assaly will provide an update on legislation and legal issues affecting development, and a question-and-answer session will be held with utility companies, city and MEDCO officials.

The forum will begin at 7:30 following refreshments and socializing at 7 a.m.

• Central Corridor Redevelopment Activities

• Status of Zoning Ordinance Changes

• Review of building code changes

• Stormwater utility

• Street projects

• Subdivision regulations

• New well and water meter installation

• Utility Updates
