Love Cedar Rapids? We do! The Cedar Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CRACVB) is bringing author Peter Kageyama back to Cedar Rapids for a half-day “For the Love of Cedar Rapids” workshop on Tuesday, October 30.
The CRACVB invites community members to attend the workshop featuring our 2011 Annual Meeting guest speaker, Peter Kageyama, author of the book, For the Love of Cities, and expert at grassroots engagement, believes average citizens who are “in love” with their city can affect transformation.
During this interactive workshop Kageyama will inspire participants to tap into their creativity and invent tactics for making the city more “loveable.” Area residents are encouraged to spend a few hours learning how to take action with simple and inexpensive ideas that can positively impact change in Cedar Rapids.
Who should attend? Community leaders and planners, arts and cultural leaders, entrepreneurs and business leaders, education leaders and concerned citizens who want to improve our community.
The workshop is Tuesday, October 30, at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art from 8 a.m. – noon. A light breakfast will be served. Tickets are $20 and seating is limited! Register at www.cedar-rapids.com or by calling 319.398.5009.
Event sponsors include: Transamerica, United Fire, IMON, and OPN Architects.
